Default Vert rear hatch

Fellow vette nuts. Please enlighten me or feed me some information. I have a VY power vert that is just 3 weeks old and past the 500-mile "break-in" miles. My biggest question is: Does the rear hatch on verts automatically cinches down when you close it, just like on the coupe? The Owner's Manual says on both coupes and convertibles, the rear hatch will cinch down, and all you need to do is put it down to the first "click" and it will power it close. Should I visit my dealership and have them check the car out or what??????

I am pretty sure only the coupes have this power assist closing feature.

The tonneau cover powers down but not the truck lid. That's how mine works.

The only power down feature is from the pressure going from your arm down to your hand. Sorry, I too, wish it had the power down feature but heck, we didn't even get the option!!! Go figure.
In any case, as I'm sure you may already know, you just apply enough pressure to close the lid so it sits flush with the rear 1/4 panels and bumper. I keep a paper towel(Bounty) nearby and use it to push down on so I don't smudge the 4-5 coats of wax on the rear deck lid.
Maybe on the C7?

Nope. I have power top, but I still have to gently press the trunk lid to close it. All the verts are that way, power top or not. BTW, on the trunk I press in the middle; on the hood I press very gently on each side.

Gotta be something wrong with mine, power top and it takes a definate slam to close the trunk not a gentle press???
