My c6 has about 10,800 on the original EMT goodyear tires. I've noticed that the tires don't feel as smooth as they used to. When I hit around 82 mph I feel the rough rotation, is this the normal or average mileage to rebalance. I have plenty of tread left and the alignment is dead on. Also, does anyone have any recomendation on other tires? Any input would be appreciated. I'm running with stock bright chrome wheels.

Even if your alignment is perfect, you can still get uneven wear depending on driving habits or mismatch in tire pressures. So I would think that it is possible that they are no longer balanced.

Tires becomming unballanced is not abnormal but not all that normal either.
But instead of just having them reballanced, have the tech run the tire and measure runout to see if the tire is still round before the balancing. An unround tire cannot be properly balanced.
1. The best balancing machine is made by Hunter, it can do what they call a "Road Force Variation Test" which not only checks actual balance, but also checks for an out-of-round tire or bent wheel. If you Google the Hunter website, it has a link to a list of shops with the appropriate machine. With the wide & heavy tires on a C6, you want the very best balance possible.
2. The tread can develop "cupping", whcih is uneven in-and-out wear along one edge. This is one condition that the Hunter machine can not easily detect but it can give you the same vibrations as an out of balance wheel. A good tech may be able to spot it visually. Frequent tire rotation can help (not so easy on a C6 but possible). Once it's there, you either live with it or get new tires.
