I live in Florida and i've had my the top off on my coupe the last couple of nights(way too hot during the day). It takes no more than 30 seconds to take the top off or put it on. If I were you, I would look at both cars with the tops on and decide which one looks the best. Most of the time your going to be driving with the top on either way. The corvette convertible doesn't look too bad with the top up but other cars look horrible.

I've had both and definately prefer the vert for open air driving. I put the top down much more often in my verts than I did with my coupe-even more so now with the power top.

I have a C6 coupe with the transparent top. I never take the top off because I don't want dust, dirt, bird droppings and wind noise in the cockpit. I prefer instead to let the sunshine in and the automatic climate control do it's thing.

I love my A/C. I set it to the Alaska setting & I go.

Speak for yourself - we generally have ours down from late September through May, then turn the a/c on high! Nothing better on a hot muggy night than cruising down one of our coast with the top down.

So I got her a SLK350. Then I wanted a vert so bad I traded my 2001 White coupe on a new LMB vert with power top. Those two tops are the People at shows we go to can't get enough.

Might as well save the money and get the coupe, cause as soon as your painted top delaminates and flys off, you're gonna think you're in a convertible.
