Default long break in drive

Yeah, I'm looking at about 800+ miles too. NCM to Alexandria, Va. Plan to try staying off interstate as much as possible. Paranoid about overnighting on the way.
Any suggestions from experianced owners?

All I can say is that you are in for a treat. I drove mine 800 miles from the dealer in Nashville to Philadelphia. Couldn't keep the smile off my face the whole trip. No full throttle. Vary your engine rpms by varing mph and gear selection. Wind up first past 2000 rpm to avoid the 1 to 4 gear change.
Enjoy.

As to Bubba's question, I haven't noticed any heat from the console affecting buns or leg, though your cell phone gets toasty in the console while driving. The consequence of a 400hp engine and associated drive train though I think the insulation from the driver is good.

As to the drive, remember the break-in so driving non-interstate for the first 500 mi is good idea. Don't know about route stops.

Enjoy the drive and the new cars...hope you get lots of smiles out of the experience. I've got a shade over 1200 totally trouble-free miles out of my 2005 C6.

My trip will only be about 400 miles and hopefully soon! I plan to take the back roads and stay under 65 mph. Will probalby make a few extra stops and starts.

Leave the V1 at home and keep it under 70. Don't get on the brakes hard to prevent squeal.

Heat build up can be felt if you rest your leg against the console, but creates no discomfort. I don't remember the seat heating up at all but if it does it won't give you any problems. Just don't put anything in the console compartment that can melt - candy bars, etc.

Remember to send me a smiling pic of Scott.

Made a short 750 mile trip this weekend. I was able to keep my speed kinda low (130 max). Usually about 70.
The heat is there, but you can direct the a/c to the floor is it gets too hot. If you spend the night on the road at an unknown hotel, maybe try not to park in a dark area away from traffic. Try not to be too paranoid , though. There is an alarm.
In other words, have a great trip and enjoy this great car. That's why I got mine. 6 months old with 9000 miles. Loving every minute of it.l

Whatever you do, vary your speed. Some have said the 55 MPH limit the first 500 miles is bogus. Just don't make any full-throttle starts or hard stops.

vary speed and especially rpm. Shift through the gears while on the highway. We realize this won't get you the best mileage but it is best for your new baby. Don't be afraid to accelerate hard, just not full throttle killing it hard!
Most of all welcome to the club and enjoy.
