Has anyone had problems using the hidden button to open the rear deck lid? - seems it only works sometimes. I have to use the remote when the button doesn't work. C-6 has 10,000 miles and that seems to be my only problem other than the stereo sucks.

Here is your problem, I documented it a while back

14K miles and no problems here. But I wonder if the switches are malfunctioning because they are used like a mechanical switch, ie, holding it on until the hatch opens... may burn out switch.
I found that touching it momentarily and waiting it popped the hatch, as it is electronic.
After you remove , clean an replace button, wrap some plummers clay around the inside button housing . This will keep dirt and moisture out in the future. Plummers clay is available at Home Depot. It comes in a bar. Costs just over $2.00
Pipedreams - Thanks much - great info on the button. I will take it apart tonight. Also - love your garage floor - I'm in the process of putting down some RaceDeck flooring myself and really like your design. Thanks again.

According to GM the new button is redesigned to hold up better
Ed,
The only problem with the new button is that Mr Goodwrench has to install it! Putting the plummers clay around the old button will do the trick. Did you order your Z06 spoiler yet??
