silver needs some sprucing up. Please help

I have beautiful silver C6 that I love. I would like to do a stripe or something else to liven it up (not make it look stupid) but keep it classy. I haven't seen anybody excpet medriver99 do anything to the exterior of his car. I was thinking of a subtle (gray or CFiber look) vinyl stripe, or doing some paintwork.

Anybody have any good photos of well done C6's with nice custom work? I saw the ghost flames on the black one. Very nice.

any suggestions (vinyl or paint, stripe or other) would be very welcome. Please get me some ideas!

The one you've linked to looks pretty good. I probably would not get it myself, but I like it okay.

I'm not so sure about stripes and flames, but my dream is paint my roof black and the "hoop" over the hatch black. With my 5% Limo tint...I think it will look pretty decent (maybe a little reminiscent of the 91-93 Acura NSX). Next, Color-keyed door handles, CHMSL, and rear valance. Oh yea....Comp gray wheels, big brakes, and tinted side/rear marker/brake lights too. Machine Silver rocks!

thanks for the input. The vinyl stripe kits look like exatly what I am looking for. Something in a metallic charcoal. Not too bright, but still there to accent the car.

I don't have a pic to share, but i have seen in person some ghost flames on a silver C5 and it looked pretty amazing. They were a very subtle flame, but once you got close it looked awesome. Flame was just slightly darker than the silver...maybe a titanium color.

Just my 2 cents...

I am either getting a silver c6 with a red gut or a lemans blue w/gray gut.I saw a silver one at carlisle w/some red stripes on it,looked ok.I don't know why there's no torch red anymore,but that would be a nice color stripe for the car.

Paint the black piece from the hood to the roof silver - it will give your car much more curve - it should be the color of the car and not black - it costs about $250 - if you want to spend some money add Z06 rear quarter panels (Breatless Performance) and your car will look great - eventually, I will post some pics of my silver C6 - after one glance you'll agree it is hands down the best looking C6 until the Z06 come out.

Wheels, Wheels, Wheels. They DO make the difference. I have the HRE 547R's on my new 2006 Silver. The Machine Silver is classy without too much additions.

I have a black coupe and did 2 tone silver graphics. The Center stripes are dark metallic charcoal gray and the outer thin stripes are metallic gunmetal gray. I will take some pics this weekend and post them here.

If and when I buy another C6 it will be a silver with red interior. Then I'd put on red brake calipers and do the engine fuel rails to match. That is such a classic color. The more I see it, the more I want it!

Do this to your engine bay!
