Where did they come up with the names of those colors? And some of the stats are misleading. It was forever before they made beige or gray convertible tops available; of course those are going to be low percentage numbers. Not so much percentages based on what the customer would order, but on what wasn't on constraint by GM.
Automatic trans seems to be the publics choice for a tranny
But for those of us who want the Z-06 but not with the manual but with an auto what can we do? We are stuck with the regular base 400 horse Corvette.
Perhaps this is why they make less of the Z-06 and stick cars because they are going by sales figures or whatever the public majority wants to buy and how much they can sell more.
Agreed.
Knee injuries, paralysis, wives, traffic, drag racing etc. etc. are all potential (and VALID) reasons for one to own an automatic.
And please keep this in mind before you ridicule the automatic drivers, without the automatic the 6 speed cars would likely cost THOUSANDS more.
I am fortunate to have both which is the best of both worlds. I like them both equally it just depends on how I feel at the time or if I'm tired.
If you have medical or physical problems definitely the auto wins especially as one gets older.
Insult 60% of drivers who visit this forum... explain to me again who is the one with the frontal lobotomy???
Oh Im sorry I MUST get a manual and pay dealer 5K more markup for it and beat my body and clutch to death fighting the Southern CA commuter traffic just so his highness wont think I had a frontal lobotomy....
Ok I admit it I had a frontal lobotomy... guess that lets me make the following statement: I personally think that anyone that didnt get a Silver C6 needs to have their head examined.....
Thanks for posting the production run numbers btw... I really thought the reds would win out over the silver... just seems a more popular color in the forum....
Okay - Knee injuries and paralysis...yes. Drag racing...maybe bracket. Wives and traffic? Sounds more like whipped and lazy...reasons, yes. Valid, hardly.
Had a talk with Tom jr and per your request we have changed yours to one of those cool paddle shifters...
Feel free to forward my commision

This is what I was thinking too; I would not have a six-speed if I was commuting in my car. I like to shift it; so I got the six-speed. I wouldn't drive my car to get groceries or anything else. It's just a great car; there are specific places I take it and won't take it. Driving in traffic is a beeeeeooooootch with the six-speed. If I had to do it - I would have the automatic myself. PS - I've got a six-speed z51 and was a little taken aback by the comment on auto - it exists for good reason! Also, a smiley or something would have changed the perceived tone of the comment.
As for the forum members; I think people with red cars just make more noise; you know - squeeaky wheel's get the oil. <sneeking away>

Living in LA and getting a frontal lobotomy seem redundant. And if you add up total red cars purchased, irrespective of shade, then red is the most popular color, followed by black, then silver. But I ordered silver, so we do agree on one thing.
