Equalizer settings - can you change them?

Equalizer settings - can you change them?
I can't find any information on how to change the preset equalizer settings for EQ[1-6]. Seems like there should be a way to do this, especially since EQ2 and EQ3 are set the same. Did I miss a page in the manual on this? (I have the NAV/stereo)

I'm 99% sure that you can't change the Preset EQ setting 1-6. You should consider them to be Default Presets. You must use the Manual button to make your own changes. Once you make those changes, they will be stored in memory for that specific button/station. The EQ setting 1-6 are intended for the person who wants to make quick changes to the sound without having to adjust each setting manually.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I think you are right - I read the manual again and there is no indication that you can change these settings. It seems strange though, because a couple of my settings are identicle (2 and 3 are the same!) so I don't really have 6 different ones. Would have been nice to customize them ... Oh well ... lovin the car anyway! Still not too sure about the stereo though... I figured anything "Bose" would be high quality, but I don't seem to get any sub-woofer sound like my Infinity Stereo in my other car.

Software Update
After the Siemens guy updated the software on my stereo (6CD/no nav) in Bowling Green in April, I noticed these presets are now labeled "jazz," "rock," etc., and they have changed. They are still not adjustable. I now get a lot more volume out of the stereo. It also helped with static and added some settings to the auto volume control. You might want to ask your dealer about a software update.
