Ok, i have LG's longtubes on the way this week. As much fun as it was installing headers on my camaro in my younger days, im no longer that thin, flexable, or motivated (read lazy) to do this kind of work on my C6. The estimates for installation have been all over the place ($450- $1100). what should be a realistic install cost on a C6 MN6????
I did the job all by myself with the use of a lift. It is not really a hard job considering what you would pay someone to do it. Be very very careful with the O2 sensors.
maybe ill have to give it a try and do it myself. i still have nightmares of the camaro i had. it was a learning experience i swore id never do again. but after looking at the engine bay today there is a ton more room in there. if i do it myself ill get some pics for an FAQ.

I also have an 02 SS Camaro with headers. I didn't put them on myself. Too much of the engine under the cowl. The C6 was a lot easier. The only hard part was the last manifold bolt on the drivers side. The brake booster is in the way, had to take that one out from the bottom.
All bolts are easily accessible. I was able to get a torque wrench on every header bolt with no U-joints. Two different depth sockets and carefull placement of the wrench is all thats needed.
Two people are required for dropping the old headers out the bottom and also for fitting the new headers in from the bottom.
