While cleaning the dash board above the steering wheel I scratched the windshield with my watch. Looking for suggestions to get rid of this blemish...if even possible. It's definitely a cut into the glass. Thanks, Andy
I know glass shops can buff out scratches on the outside of the windshield, just don't know if they could fit the equipment between the dash and windshield. They could always take the windshield out but don't think you want to go there. Maybe just ignore it until the inevitable rock takes out the whole unit.
If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, you won't get it out! If it's very light and I mean VERY LIGHT you can buy a kit from someone like Eastwood Co that comprises of different grades of compound for removing fine scratches from glass. Good luck!!

Andy,
My car was delivered with the exact same problem. The detail idiot must have caused this. It was dark when I picked up the car so I did not notice it. After much fuss and attempts to repair, the dealer had to change the windshield out. The reason I'm told is that the location was too tight to get buffer in there to get scratch out. At first I was afraid of the abortion that the dealer would create but in the end the professional "Glass Guy" actually did an excellant job. His company does alot of exotics here in Florida. I am glad I decided to have it changed because like a pimple on your nose, this is all saw when I looked at the car.
Good Luck and cross your fingers that whoever you let do the chage out does a good job.
