Trust you went w/ a large Vette dealer if you hope to get a Z51 by December. By the way, I have a lot of inlaws in Athens...Go Dawgs! I too ordered an MN6, as the alternative is akin to bathing with a rain coat.

I was worried about that also b/c the Z51 and polished rims are on constraint. I gave him 12 weeks; he figured 8-9 but holidays may delay it. After that, he takes off 500/month from the selling price. I figured it was fair for both of us.

Eeek good luck to you. If he is a good dealer you should have the car in less than 8. If it is a bad dealer he will end up paying you for the car. Seriously if you do not have an order number in 2 weeks you might want to consider other options.

I feel better having that in the contract. Waiting will be aggravating, but at least I know he will be more eager to get it than if I didn't have it in writing. I've asked several times about the constraints, but he seems to be OK about it, but you know they'll tell you anything.
Good move to the Vette ... moved from Albany, GA out here to the land of fruits and nuts..... love it .... Love my Vette too. Hope your car comes in in record time .... At least you have grat weather to enjoy it in as well. Congrats !!!
basically just the typical sales contract but he wrote in the stipulations. It's still a contract (hopefully).
I've heard so many horror stories about delays from smaller dealership, so I knew I needed to protect myself. They're not small b/c they get several vettes, but they're definitely not huge. I hope this keeps him honest.
I guess I am a skeptic but what would keep the dealer after 14 weeks just to not sell you the car. So not only do you not get your discount but also not get your car.

Unfortuately they could do that legally.
Good point. Fortunately, I got them to add their discount from MSRP to the trade value. If they keep it, I actually get a pretty decent price for my trade.
If that happens, I can go to a large volume dealer. Yeah, it would be a PITA, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. It would also give me the option of going out of state since I wouldn't have to lug a trade with me.
Hopefully it will just work out. I'm looking forward to driving a V8 again.
The reason I went with them is that most Chevy dealers did not want to take my MB as a trade.
Ummm... With clarity like that, what could possibly go wrong?
I am sure all we be well <rolls eyes>
Me, I just had my initial auto loan expire unused due to not finding a proper 2005 or 2006 C6 deal (Capital One for $43,800)...
Since they won't just renew it once expired, I got a new one approved for $65,800.00... take a guess why that exact amount...?!
I have a feeling this one will expire unused too, but (cliches ahead alert) hope springs eternal, because you never know unless you try, but still trust but verify because there is a new one born every minute, which helps explain why there is a butt for every seat, but since a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, why upset the apple cart by gilding the lily while Rome burns?
