I got a lightweight jack from one of our members over in Germany, I believe. If I recall, his name was Frederick. Anyway, he sold an absolute ton of those things through the Forum at no profit to himself. I believe that it is a Mercedes Benz scissors jack that is very light but I'm not sure if it will fit in the small receptacles in the back for the '06.
It might be worth looking into.

There's any number of low profile jacks available from the major retail auto parts houses. Not sure about Texas but in the Northeast, that includes PEP Boys, Strauss Auto & the NAPA stores. Also, Costco has a good one for only $99. There's about 4 1/2 inches of clearance under the side panels....most of the low profile jacks are 3 1/2 or 3 3/4, so they work well. Just be sure to use some sort of cushionig material between the jack saddle & the frame side rails. Hockey pucks work great & they're only a buck in most sporting goods stores. If you're jacking under the cross member fromthe rear, use a piece of scrap wood...1x4x10....to spread the load.
Good luck...Dave

His name is C5Frederick.

And that jack will work on the C6.

And, unlike may of the others that have been posted as alternativies - this one fits in you cars storage areas (in the box it is 2x3x10).

Price was $49.95 plus shipping,

Have it in all the vettes, and love it. It has come in handy

I bought the $99 Costco low profile aluminum floor jack as well. Unfortunately, no car yet.

Other than that, I don't know jack.
