Look closely and you will see what appears to be an emergency tech inside the car in the passenger seat. My guess is that is a hand on the wheel and the tech (or whomever) in the driver seat is either checking out the driver or tending to him/her.

of course its an exotic, its been around for over 50 years, has a rich racing history, and is very fast. maybe not to most people but as far as im concerned a 50k + price tag is exotic. i basically have to live in my corvette, cuz i cant hardly afford it.

That's fair as a personal statement, but I don't think the Vette fits the general description of an exotic as it relates to a car. How long it has been around and its racing history don't factor in. I think an exotic is more of an expression of cost and exclusivity (not mutually exclusive). The Vette is hardly exclusive as a production car and the $50k tag is the reason why.
