Default Coupe vs Vert

Ok guys i'm in the last few weeks to get a Vette.
What is the difference in pick up and response between the Coupe and the Vert. I've had 5 Coupes?.

Same car, Same options, Same pick up and response. Maybe if you take it to the drag strip there might be some slight differences but as a street car you won't notice a difference between the two.
My opinion is go with the power top vert, you will like it.

The only reason to not get a Vert is spelled "Z06". Too bad it's not made in a Vert.

You will notice a definite improvement in your "pick-up response" with a convertible!

Default Definitely fixed roof is much better than both of these more rigid

Less things to rattle or worry about and leaks or losing the top, scratching the top etc.

Personally, I think the hard top/coupes are for more serious competion minded and the verts are for the more fanciful. Regardless, I have had both, and say get what you want, all are awesome!

Let me think about this...ummmm..400 HP...3100 lbs....should be pretty d*mm responsive with or without a top
A coupe might have the edge in a wind tunnel but, who drives in a wind tunnel anyway.

All corvettes I have ever owned is a vert and I love them and I agree with the other post that the only reason to not get a vert is a Z06. Steve as owned both he will chime in soon.

This is not what you were asking for, but don't forget if you get the vert it may be hard to get track time without installing roll bars.

"fanciful" ???

There is no difference except at very high speeds. The cars weigh within 10 lbs of each other. In fact, I had a coupe and vert C5, both with identical rwhp. They ran virtually identical times at the track. In fact, the fastest trap speed I ever got in either of them was the vert.

I've now had a coupe and convertible C6 as well. No difference I can tell.
