Took the new car (105 miles) in to have the GHL exhaust and Z51 sway bars installed. Pulled the wheels and the right rear wheel had some sort of grease all on the inside of the wheel. We inspected and discovered there was an abrasion and a small pinhole leak in the outer boot. Took it straight to the dealer after getting everything installed and their Corvette mechanic confirmed the leak and also confirmed they had a part to install. Taking it in tomorrow to have it done. The mechanic surmised it was done during installation. Anyone else had this problem??
Just a word on the GHL's. They are AWESOME. Had them on my C5, but the sound even better on the C6. This is what a Corvette is supposed to sound like.
Have you gotten the cv boot done? How much downtime?
GM
I had mine done at 500mi
It took from friday night till tues afternoon...at 4600 miles now- no problems... although I went with corsa sports not the GHL's
Took it in this AM and the tech was finished in under three hours. Now I have to get the paint blemishes buffed out. These were pointed out to the salesman and the general sales manager on delivery.
