Bought my 06 Lemans Blue last week (A6). The DIC is not working. Dealer is telling me they have to order a whole new DIC display (7-10 days). Anyone else have a problem with DIC?

I don't recall hearing about similar problems this past year!

You didn't have any sores on it or yellow discharge did you?
Couldn't help that one, y'all.
Mine's been fine.
In spite of the smarta$$ replies you're receiving, here is some serious considerations:
DIC not visible - sorry and my sympathies to your SO
DIC won't come up - happens to everyone once in a while (RIGHT!)
DIC is intermittent - how old is it, this happens with age
DIC won't go down - far more serious, especially if longer than four hours - seek professional help
DIC flashes - illegal in all states, seek help
DIC glows too bright - Dude, I'd get that looked at!
DIC is dying - yeah well, join the club.
DIC not provided as original equipment - you're a girl
DIC removed by dealer - That's what happens to all of us when buying a car, one way or the other.
Seriously, did they check all the appropriate grounds? I ask because they pop another one in there only to have it fritz immediately if there is an open ground somewhere in the system. Good luck with it.
On my '04, I had a few intermittent pixels on my DIC. They installed a new cluster, and fixed my DIC.
On the C5s, the odometer was stored in the cluster. When they replaced clusters, my mileage out was less than my mileage in. Assuming that the C6 does the same, and they cannot even read your DIC to get your present mileage, go put on as many free miles as you can before they replace the cluster and the miles start ticking.
I know they are smarta$$ and we have heard them 1001 times before but you got to admit if you read any of these posts out loud they are hysterical......My DIC doesnt work and the dealer needs to order another one.... how can one not laugh...
but seriously a lack of ground or a short shouldnt cause the DIC to fry - it just wont work and a short would be easy to tell by inspecting the fuses.... I assume you get no "Corvette by Chevrolet" welcome message - I agree that the power and ground connections should be checked before even replacing the unit as well as the fuses... could also be the cabling from computer to display that is loose and hence you see nothing...
Having said all that, no I havent had any problems with my DIC and I wouldnt worry about yours given its under warranty and dealer should be able to diagnose and fix.
