C6 spolier installation?

I want to remove the black rear spoiler on my C6 and replace it with a body matched color spoiler. Has anyone done this? If so what are the steps involved? Thanks

I've not done this yet, but it is fairly straightforward. Remove the two inboard taillight assemblies and reach into the taillight openings with a 10mm socket and remove the nuts holding it in place.

Actually I am thinking of fitting the ZO6 spoiler to my C6. Does anyone know if they are a direct swop over without any modification?

You will also need a 15mm torx-head driver to remove the tail lights. The whole job should take you about 15 minutes.

Many thanks for the instructions. Do you know of any aftermarker companies that offer an LED 3rd brake lite that fits in the same size opening as the original ? I have seen ads for the 40 lite larger units!

The bright ideas product fits in the factory opening. Installation is 15 minutes or less depeding on adult beverage consumption during the procedure!

I don't know about anyone else, but wear a long sleeve t-shirt, as my arms got some scratches on them from sharp edges around the taillamp area. Although it's a fairly easy swap, watch that you don't drop a socket inside. I replaced my chmtl in about 20 minutes.
