Good idea. I'd buy one. The silver plastic looks cheap and scratches easily. Even better, make it match my grey leather seats.
Thats what I had done (center console covered with same material seats made of), just haven't had the time nor the camera to install it and get some pics. As soon as I do I'll post.

People keep saying this, but after 16,000 miles of not so careful daily use, mine doesn't have a single scratch. What are you guys doing that's scratching the console?

hehehehe wouldn't you like to know let's just say the stock console isn't as rugged when someone is on it

Not just a scratch. I have a scratch that I tried to rub out using a scratch remover product and it took off pieces of the coating. Now I have not only a scratch but a few black spots where the finish came off. It seems to me that some of these consoles were not properly prepared for painting and the finish is fragile.
I intend to replace ASAP with a gloss black console piece that is sold by Mid America Corvette. I never did like the silver anyway!

My stock console already matches the seats/dash/door panels, what I want is the plastic "waterfall" or dash bezel, the piece that extends from the console to the top of the dash. All the links posted so far are for painted or carbon fiber, I want either the black vinyl dash material or the grey "leather" seat material to replace or cover the stock plastic waterfall. IMHO there are already too many colors/ textures/materials in the interior.
