The manual says to adjust the chime level you have to hold down button 6 on the presets on the regular radio, but I couldn't find where to adjust it with the NAV radio. Did I miss it?

Anyone here know how to adjust this??
Thanks.

Jeff,
Good luck! I asked virtually the same question several months ago and never got so much as a single reply!
Like you, I'd like to know how to lower the level of the chimes you hear whenever you punch a DIC button.

I don't understand this. I have an '06 and no chimes sound whenever I punch any button on the DIC.
Your chimes must be turned completely off if that's true. My chimes hammer me every time I push one of those buttons.
By "DIC button", he means the column of buttons on the right hand of the instrument console that change the DIC display...top button has a little gas pump, second down has a little gauge, third one down says "TRIP". Idiot Icons...I'm surprised for "TRIP" there isn't a little smilie face with a steering wheel...uh, kind of like this:

Yeah, I understand what he was referring to and it would drive me nuts considering how often I review the gas, trip, oil/temp gauges, etc. I went through the Owner's Manual in the beginning and it seems to me that I read something about that but I'm not sure. In any case, I have no chimes and that's how I like it. I did get chimes once when I left the car with the shifter in neutral and the emergency brake on.

FunDriver;
That's exactly how I feel about the chimes. If there is any way at all to eliminate them, I would certainly like to know about it!

Hey Juva.......
If you find out, let me know.........the one that bothers me the most is when you have the accessories mode on and then you open the door....that chime is very LOUD particularly annoying if you need to power up the car in your garage but don't want to fire up the engine.
By the way......seems a "long time ago" we were waiting for these things to built and do the NCM delivery!

Hey BLittle, how're things? You're right, May was a long time ago! How many miles do you have on your car now? I took a long trip up through Canada, so have just under 16K after less than 6 months. Haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood). We're thinking of making a trip back east, perhaps next fall. If so, I'll give you a call.
Cheers,
