My C-6 Sunset Orange coupe M-6 baby is less than 4 weeks old (I'm one of those 'old F____'s' who has always had a Corvette dream). Like any new Daddy, I have a thousand questions about how to properly care for my baby. Trying to read through all of this and learn.....I can't even begin to express how much I love this car! It's just me (56) and my little girl (7) and I'm not sure which of us grins bigger when 'crusin'!
The only things I don't love 1000% is that it's too quiet and the polished aluminum wheels aren't bright enough. Reading a lot about about exhaust systems , etc., like the B&B Bullets???? How can I 'brighten' the wheels, are they 'coated'? Thanks for the help!
West Coast Corvettes, I did the Crome Wheel swap for $749.
B&B Bullits will take care of that too-quite problem real quickly!!
Good luck, and nice color choice! See my sig.

That's what I did.........they are a great vendor and the wheels look terrific!
From one old fart to another, let me caution you about acting too hastily on either of these issues. First, the polished wheels aren't the best quality in the world for finish and there is no way to improve them. However, chrome, for a lot of people is too over the top and requires more maintenance to look really good. As for exhaust, I almost made the mistake of sinking some significant money into Corsa Sports but fortunately took an extended drive in a friends car with them and so glad I didn't. If interior noise is important to you then the stock system is the best. The corsa's, magnaflows, BB, Route 66, etc, etc, all impart some level of drone into the cabin. Some is minor (like the corsas) some is painful. Problem is, they all sound sooooo good from outside the car that you'll be tempted to put them on and then may regret the decision. Try to find a local club with members who installed them on a C6 and then ask for an extended ride with top on and top off and see what you think. You can cut down on the drone with dyna-mat in the rear. As for wheels, there are some aftermarket out there that really look good on the car and many members of this forum have them on their cars w/pics on the forum. Enjoy your car and welcome to the "club".

You forgot the Borla's ! I love mine . The "drone" in the cabin is just right and they sound mean outside .
I drive a vert and I don't have a drone problem with Corsa Sports and a Corsa X pipe. I really like this combo and hope you'll listen to it. Welcome to the forum.

Check the exhaust out in person before you jump.
Take a look at the WCC chromes...there's been a lot of positive reports from forum members regarding them...if you like the look.

I love chrome! some windex and a paper towl and they look great! I spent 2 F#&@ing hours polishing my polished wheels on my 88 and they still do not look that good. I just got my C6 and when they make reproductions of the new Z06 wheels in chrome in the stock C6 sizes. I'm getting some!
