My neighborhood has been plaqued by vandals leaving screws and nails in the street.....one of my rears has 2 in their and who knows what the others look like.....not losing pressure but I need to get it taken care of....my local chevy dealer can't patch tires so they sent me over to Town Fair.....I'll head over tomorrow.....I'm hoping they can patch it as a new one is close to $500 according to the dealership....only 1200 miles
Check your Goodyear waranty and call the 800 number. They will direct you to an authorized EMT station in your area. They will be fixed or replaced with no charge.

You might want to go to a Goodyear store or authorized EMT facility, if there's one nearby. Patching should be covered under warranty if it's within the first 2/32" tread wear.
called my local EMT.....they were basically not helpful....told me to call a Goodyear store that's owned by Goodyear and he said there's not to many of those around.....
found one....told me it's a road hazard and not covered....says they may or may not be able to patch it.....

Then he's either lying or uninformed. Bring your tire warranty booklet with you. It clearly states the tire is fully warranted against road hazard for 1 year or 2/32 tread wear. The tire should be repaired or replaced at no cost to you during that period by any Goodyear EMT dealer.
I've had two tires repaired, neither cost me a dime. In the first case, the tire dealer knew about the warranty and didn't try to charge me. In the second case, the tire dealer tried to charge me until I showed him the warranty, and he called Goodyear to confirm. They told him to quit trying to double dip.

thanks a lot....is the warranty booklet that little flip pamphlet that says EMT on the front????
I picked up a screw on the road...tire only had 2000 miles on it. I called the dealer and they told me the same thing so I took it to an authorized Goodyear dealer and they fixed it for $15. It seems fine. As long as the screw or nail isn't in the sidewall it should be able to be repaired from what I was told.

Does a warranty really cover running over screws & nails? That doesn't seem like tire failure to me.

You should be able to get reimbursed if you still have your receipt.

Only deal with an EMT Certified tech - anyone else is just guessing.
