Power top problem quickly solved
Recently I began to get grinding sounds out of the tonneau as it was raising up to allow the cloth top to go up. Went to the dealer and the tech found a deteriorated O ring with was allowing hydraulic fluid to leak out of the system. He replaced the O ring and the fluid (which was nearly empty), bled the line, and bingo, the top worked much better and without the grinding noise. Total time at dealer - about 45 minutes. Moreover, he said the microswitches were not the culprit and were functioning normally! I did not ask him why I saw no fluid leaks on the garage floor. Perhaps there is some kind of reservoir, don't know.

If it were my car I would like to know where the missing fluid went to.
If its not in a container, it might be doing some damage. FIND IT.
