Local dealer here in MD has one on the lot. To the wife and I, the Red interior clashes with the VR exterior (the interior is a darker Red), unlike the Torch Red/Torch Red combo on the C5s which looked stunning. Just my $.02.
I've always gone for contrast, but whatever anyone wants is good enough. Mine is an '06 machine silver with red interior and black top. Great contrast. The new for '06 GM logos fit in great with the sliver color and the black on the door handles and rear brake light offset/break up the color as does the top. Not gonna change a thing.
here is one from ebay in a convertible not to my taste but I am not the buyer there are several more pictures just do a search on 2006 convertible corvette

I've seen this combo in person, and this was my impression, too. The red interior is muted, desaturated, low-key and doesn't go well with the bright red exterior. (I'm not sure I'd even put it with Monterey Red.) The photo above is not accurate; the colors are actually quite different.
I'm clearly in the minority, but I own a red/red convertible and love the combo. It was delivered at NCM right next to another VR convertible w/ black interior. Most people were taking pics of mine!
Admittedly it is a love or hate combo, no gray area at all. The other combos (red/black and red/beige) are easy. But I had a red/red Camaro years ago and loved that also.
