Reading thru some of the threads here, I stumbled across a link for an aftermarket lighting vendor (Hoen). I liked the idea of having the high beams and driving lights match the "color" (temperature) of the HID lights in the C6. I decided to give it a try; the kit to replace high beams and driving lights only cost me $67.
Installation wasn't too bad .. Drivers side approx 45 minutes .. Passenger side 30 minutes (I knew how to take apart the inner-fender wells, the 2nd time )
Overall, I was really pleased with the results .. I'm attaching some pics taken after replacing the Driver's side, but prior to the passenger side.
looks great - thanks for the pics! did you have to remove the front wheels?
Thank you .. Luckily, no .. I was able to turn the wheel, to its right & left most positions, and remove the trim pieces that allow access to the headlamps and driving lights.

IMHO, its easier to see. The "whiter" light seems to make a difference. Unfortunately, the Hoen kits have no instructions However, the install isn't too bad. If you look inside your wheel well you will see a rubber cover directly behind the headlights. Not too bad to remove. The driving lights are little more of a PITA. For the driving lights, more (and larger) panels have to be removed / loosened to allow access to the bulb.
