I'm at 3400 with a TPW of 11/14; I have no idea what "broadcast for production" is or how it is any different from 3300, but I only ordered a few weeks ago, so I'm not complaining.
STATUS EVENT CODES
1100-Order placed at dealer
1101-Order accepted by GM
2001-Order generated to dealer
2005-Order replaced with GM Prospec order
2050-Order changed
2500-Order sent to production, preferenced
3000-Order accepted by production control
3100-Order available to sequence (now the tpw becomes more stable)
3300-Order selected for production by assembly plant
3400-Order broadcasted for production
3800-Vehicle produced
4150-Vehicled invoiced to dealer
4200-Vehicle shipped
5000-Vehicle delivered to dealer
6000-Vehicle delivered to customer
Mine is being built the week of 11/28 but I don't know what the status code is. I can't wait to get it though. The wait is torture.
Mine is also being built the week of 11/28. My status code right now is 3000. My dealer is going to send me a weekly update, so I can track the progress. I agree...it is torture, but it's better than having no order due to constraints.

3400 Broadcast to Prodcution means the order (Production Order) has been released to the production floor. This is the last Production Planning & Control step before real assembly starts to happen. At this point the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) has control of the Production order and performs all of the detail scheduling and orders for sub-assembly parts, and any kitting activities. The MES controls everything until the car is completely assembled and then it signals Production PLanning & Control / VOMS with a 3800 status code.
If your TPW is still a week in the future, all that really happens is that your car has been grouped in a specific sequence in the MES and the various sub-assemblies can be kitted and placed in matching sequence. The week of production, these sub-assemblies are physically sequenced (Prob only day prior) and made available to the line (On Day of Assembly for that station). A JIT oriented build process.
In any case - your order is now locked in a build sequence and your dates are very firm. @ 3400, Kevin can likely look-up your car in the MES to see what day/time it will go thru each of the various assembly work stations. This is how he knows when to take you to the various areas to see your car mid-assembly.
