Same platform, both built at BG. Different audience. Price aside, to my mind not real comparable in intent.

XLR- V has the Northstar motor...and an interior not befitting a $100,000 car.

I agree, not a valid comparison.
But, as your original post solicits-hp/lb is about the same, so I would expect very comparable straight line line numbers.
A car like this can only mean good things for future Corvettes in my opinion.

I don't have any seat time in an XLR-V but I have test-driven an XLR. I liked the car but quite frankly, I felt "old" in it. (At 54, I don't need any help feeling old!) This was before I ordered my C6. I could have gotten a great deal on the XLR but I just couldn't talk myself into it. Maybe in another 5 or 10 years.

XLR is ugly, and costs a lot more. And, after a year or two, the resale value for both will be about the same.
