Default button button on the wall

who's the coolest button of them all? After a month, just programmed the visor buttons to open the garage door and our community's entrance gate. Works awesome. Hey, I knew that!

Yep, programmed mine this weekend too! Pretty cool. Seems you have to push the buttons pretty hard to make them work, but maybe they will get easier with use.

They do...been using them for garage and gate for over 5 months now, no problems.

It is a really nice feature on a Chevy!

The homelink system is really handy. Had it on my last 3 cars. I like the button placement on the Vette.

Welcome to the 2000's, buddy!

Great invention; I wish I had invented it. Why can't I think of things like that?

By the way, don't forget to erase the memory when you sell / trade the car, or there are gonna be some people with pretty easy access to your home!

Don't press too hard, they might break. Just hold it down for a few seconds, there's a delayed reaction.

Default How?`

How would you program a community garage gate? Do you need to do anything special? I have a remote for my garage in my apt complex, but didn't think I could program the Homelink to it.

Any advice?

You should be able to program it directly from the remote. Otherwise it uses a rolling code and you will have to get with the property manager to get access to the gate controller which should have a button on it.
I would like to see the 3 buttons illuminated a bit (LEDs, etc). You can't see them at night and have to feel for the correct button. Otherwise Homelink is great and its not a GM product.
