I had the Eclipse AVN5435 installed last June. I had it done professionally. It was quite expensive but worth it. It looks factory, including the custom bezel. It is interfaced with the factory Bose components and in my opinion sounds much better. I still have use of the On-Star and all the beeps and chimes, which previously came through the factory radio, still work. The navigation system is awesome, but does require a learning period.
The only negative is that I cannot adjust the On-Star volume because the adapter uses steering wheel controls, which, of course, the Corvette does not have.
I also was dissappointed to learn that, although the head unit supports MP3s, the CD changer does not. Also the unit only supports Sirius, not XM, which is OK for me but maybe not for you.

I have the same setup but my installer could not find the right adaptor to save the beeps and chimes, and I don't have onstar. Could you tell me what adaptor your installer used? Not that it is critical but would like to have the beeps/chimes back.
