Ughhh, I HATE those kind of problems... the ones that come and go at random and never seem to be there when the mechanic is looking at it! I hope it happens at the dealer on Tuesday!
On the C5s that almost always was caused by a bad speed sensor in a wheel or some other sensor. Usually a quick easy fix. No reason to think C6s would be much different. Hope that's all it is
I had intermittent electrical problems similar to that, but not that exact one. They went from intermittent to more frequent to constant, and it sounds like you are still in the intermittent stage. In trying to fix my C6, they've gone through a couple of different ECMs and wiring harnesses, and replaced the throttle position sensor. She's going back into the shop tomorrow for yet another main wiring harness replacment. 40+ days in the shop for electrical issues.
I hope yours is an easy fix, but don't count on it.
well i took the vert in at 8:30 this morning.i left it there and called them back at 11:30. the tech said there were about 17 codes that he cleared.'and most only happen when the battery goes dead. i said that's pretty strange because i've never had a battery problem. but any way he cleared them and i've been driving the car all day with no problems so we'll just have to call it some a mystery that we'll probablk never solve but all it took was a few hours and didn't cost anything so it has a happy ending
had the same problem. Its the ABS control module. The steering sensor malfunction is just a symptom of the underlying problem from what I understand. Had the ABS control module replaced in my car and no more problems. Good luck.
Did you just get the Service Active Handling message in the DIC or was the TC light or ABS light on also? I am currently having the same issues but no DTC's when I scanned it. Mine shows the Service Active Handling message and the TC light is on. Which looking through the manual seems to be DTC C0136, C0137 or possibly C0242.
The car sat for awhile and I was in and out without starting it so maybe mine is just a low battery. Hmmmmm, maybe I need to go put it on charge.

This sounds bad. My C6 threw a big load of codes when I was having electrical gremlins. The first couple of times, all they did was clear the codes and give me my car back. The problem was still intermittent, but the codes told everybody that something extremely major was wrong. Then they told me to remove my radar detector. As if tapping off a 12v supply is going to cause the passengers door to come open while driving or cause active handling to improperly "correct" the car.
Now what your tech said is true. When your battery is nearly dead and you try to crank it up, the voltage isn't high enough for all the computers to come on, and there will be a bunch of codes saying that this computer system can't talk to that one, or this one failed, etc. When my C5's battery was going bad (very typical sudden death syndrome of AGM batteries, which is a completely different problem from the '05 MN6 DBS), it threw a bunch of codes. CHanged the battery, it cranked right up, and everything was fine.

Did they replace the ECM or the BCM? The BCM controls most of the functions that you described having troubles with not the ECM. The BCM is located in the passenger seating area near the fuses.

The service sheets said it was the ECM (FP-Number 12597883).
The service sheets said it was the ECM (FP-Number 12597883).
Not sure what problems you are currently having but have them take a look at page 10-97 in the service manual.
The BCM is the gateway between class 2 and GMLAN data and as the power mode master it controls electrical power management.
Below are just a few of the other things the BCM controls:
ext lighting
int. lighting
auto door locks
keyless entry
theft deterrent
wipers/washers
headlamp washer
cruise control
entertainment
column lock
power roof
Less is better, I hope your problem stays away and I also wish GM will do with less gadgets and gizmos in future cars, sport cars should be just that, sports cars, fun to drive and easy to fix.

40 + days out of service...sounds like lemon law and a new C6 is due.
