How many of you guy's have the manual top? Any pro's or con's vs. power top. I have a good deal on a manual top car, and I don't want to overlook anything. Thanks

Got one! Had a C5 vert for 6 seasons, found top real easy. Ordered my C6 manual. Still real easy. In truth you can put it up and down faster than a power top, if thats important. The biggest thing with a manual top, there is much more room in the trunk. That was important to us as we travel a lot
Thanks Guy's. Here is what I just ordered. 2006 Vert,Daytona Orange/Cashmere, Auto Trans, 3LT, Nav System. Anybody have any pic's of this combo that they could post?

Congrats! Be sure and post us some pics when you get her.
I have a manual top also. My wife was concerned at first, till she dropped the top and then raised it herself. Its really simple, and as stated above, the extra trunk space is nice. (There is no partition between the top space and the trunk space as in the auto top.)
Only downside, besides expense, I can think of is that you do have to get out of the car to raise/lower it. Enjoy!
I owned a 2000 vert with manual top I loved it But now have a 05 vy poxer vert and would not look back at the manual times, when spending over 60,000 dollars 2000.00 should not be considered at all when all the other manufactures are using power tops on their vert models.(porsche, jag, benz, ferrari etc)
Why spend $2k for something that has been the subject of a fair number of problem posts? I ordered mine to avoid the power top and am very happy with the easy to operate manual top.
I am sure the manual top is fine, but I do like the power top I have. 2K does seem like a lot of money, but in the overall scheme of things I guess not. Living here in Massachusetts where the weather changes on a dime, it's great to get to a set of lights and pop the top. Otherwise I have to plan to have the top up or down, and someplaces it is not handy to pull over and get out of the car to work the top. I know I'm sounding like and old fart, but I am after all.

The manual top on the C6 operates the same as the C5 except for the latch. When I first got my 98 vert I was at a Corvette event when a man with only one arm came up to me and told me how he always wanted a convertible top the tops were just to hard to operate. I showed him how the top on the C5 worked then asked if he wanted to try. He had no problem with it. After he said he would be at the dealer in the morning to order one.
Depends on what arm is gone. I drove a truck (4spd standard) for weeks with a broken arm /shoulder in a sling. It was my left. I got by all right, just had to think ahead on shifting, or lug it a bit till you could take your hand off of wheel for the time necessary to shift
Not a big deal.
I've got the power top. I had some problems initially, but they seem to be gone. All said and done, I'm happy with it, but I would have been fine with a manual top too. Probably not worth 2g's.
