I'm not a vette owner...yet, but my username indicates the wannabe status, lol. It's just a matter of time, as I intend to have one by the time I retire in 27 months (dunno if it'll be C5 or C6). Anyway, I was at work today, ground floor office facing the street. I rarely look outside, but saw the sun shining through the mini-blinds and decided to take a peak. I had to gasp.....because parked across the street by Meier and Frank (upscale department store out here in OR) sat a drop dead gorgeous C6 vert in Daytona Sunset Orange and black top. Gawd, I moved some paperwork to the window, opened the blinds, and just stood there pretending to read, so I could gape at the beauty. The only C6's I have seen in Salem have been the two at the local dealership's showroom (no test drive), blue and red. I was surprised the DSO is not that orange, more coppery and rust, and just awesome. Yeah, it was an orgasmic 15 minutes while the car was parked there. I wanted to go out and wait for the owner and ask some questions, but duty called. With the cashmere interior, that DSO is simply spectacular!! Well, I rambled. You folks who own C6's are very fortunate - give thanks. AND Happy Thanksgiving!!
I agree with your assessment of the C6. Yesterday, I was leaving my parking garage after work, I had the top off my 06 vy coupe and a young lady was crossing the street near me. She called out "nice ride". I find lot's of people just look and smile when they see the car. Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
I was looking at an early retirement, maybe 6 months out, and I hate my job. Then I got the C6 bug. Well, I decided to work a couple more years and buy the vette, Things have really gotten interesting. I vacation 4 times a year already, but this is really differant. Go buy one.
Ok.. One for the boys... I was getting gas at a busy station behind a SUV. No big deal and my back it turned towards the rear, pumping gas.
I turn towards the front and catch 2 hotties in there 20's, like a deer in head lights stairing at... well.. must be my rear... ... damm..

When the time's right & you have the dust go for it, you won't regret the experience.

Just traded my '03 Anniversary Edition C5 for a loaded Victory Red C6 w/ MN6 I had built, picked it up this past Monday.
Nirvana, my friend.
I've given thanks many times.
