Default C6 Vert Wind Deflector??

Has anyone purchased/installed the GM wind deflector? How well does it work? Was it easy to initially install? Is it easy to remove/install regularly? Does it fill up the trunk when removed?

PM jkonkle. he has a GM windscreen and Dealer install. From what he said the Dealer install took a lot of time and was expensive.

Problem is it has to be removed every time you raise the top. Too much of a PITA; I raise and lower the top every day.

Me too - top is down every chance I get and up when parked. PITA I don't want but it is more breezy than I would like with the top down. I was hoping for a good solution.

I have the GM screen on my new vert. My friend and I installed one on his about 2 weeks before my wife and I installed ours. It took my friend and I about 45 minutes to do it. It took my wife and I about 15 minutes. It is realatively easy to take on and off. I mainly use mine because I have to drive on the highway to get home from anywhere.

Does it pop in and out easy enough and does it use up all of the trunk space? Does it come with a bag?

Hi I was wondering if the cover that hooks on the two headrest to form a barrier would work as well and could stay on when lowering the top.

I am quite pleased with the wind screen. Installed it a couple of months ago in about an hour. It substantially moderates wind buffeting at hwy speeds. It is rather cumbersome to put on but at the moment is the only decent solution offered. I keep mine in the trunk and put it on whenever needed.

How much of the trunk space does it use?

It's not that good. I would not buy it again. I never use it anymore because the impact is marginal . My install took about 45min. It's easy to take on and off.

it fits between the wheel wells when the top is up and in the long (rear) portion of the trunk when the top is folded down.

I dont find your statement representative of my experience with the wind screen.
I have found that buffeting is reduced with the screen up and the windows down and substantially reduced with the windows up and the screen up.
The screen allows you to drive the car with the top down at hwy speeds and for extended time periods without getting a new hairline on the back of your head!
