I have two paint chips on my passenger door on the curve next to the door handle . I was considering using touch-up paint to fix this. The two chips are very small and would not require brushing, I could dab it instead. You will not notice them unless I point them out but I know they are there so it bugs me. My C6 is black and I know that everytime I wax it or if they get bigger they will be more noticeable. Any input would really help. Thanks!
I had two on the drivers side rocker panel. I carefully used touch up paint that I got from the Dealer. It does bother me a little, but you're right, if you don't point them out nobody will see them.
It's either that or spend hundreds (conservative estimate) at the body shop.
I'll live with the touch up, for now at least.
If you can "feather" the touch-up paint then I say so ahead. I have seen more than my share of botched touch-up jobs. Then it looks worse with the raised paint and then everyone will really notice the area.
The key is to fill the chip with many applications of a thin coat of paint, allowing ample drying time between each coat. I use toothpicks instead of the supplied brush. Also, make sure you shake the paint well before applying.
You might try touching it up and then using a product called langka to rub out the patch. It does an excellent job of sanding just the touch up paint to level it out. It does not touch your clear coat or regular paint. I have used it quite a few times on my 00 C5 mag red 2..

Looks like a good product--just ordered some from their web site.--Thanks for the info!
