has anyone had a problem with there air pressure sensors? I was playing in the garage tonight and I thought they were not working properly so I let the air out and yes the left front still read 28 the only one not working right. Is there some thing I can do my self or does it need to see the dealer?
You may want to do a search. I think there has been several threads regarding tire pressure sensors.
I think someone stated that you may have to drive for 5 or 10 minutes before you will get an accurate reading. If this is the case, than letting the air out of the tire would not change the reading until you drive it for a little while.
You might try filling the tire to about 35 psi, drive it for 5 to 10 minutes and see if the new pressure is displayed. Then pull over and reduce the pressure to 30 psi and drive home. It should indicate the pressure changes.
What doesn't make sense to me is that you are supposed to fill the tires when they're cold, but the sensors pressure readings don't get updated until driven a bit and tires are no longer cold.
I guess you just need to get used to what the 30 PSI cold normally gets increased to after the tires and warmed and use that as a baseline for whats normal.
The newer sensors actually adjust to the new tire pressure rather quickly, less than a mile and that's not far enough for the tire pressure to exceed what you have put in at the start.

The pressure readings are transmitted once every 60 seconds when the car is moving and once every 60 minutes when the car is stationary. So wait an hour and check it again.

It kind of sounds like you are trying to use your tire sensors to check your cold inflation. That won't work very well. A better way to check your inflation pressure is to use an air gauge. When your tires are cold, you use a gauge to check the pressures and adjust accordingly to get 30 psi for cold tires.
Your tire pressures change constantly and it's pretty much improssible to have the exact readings all the time. Your sensor system is there to monitor the tire pressures for problems, not for exact measurements.
I think you all are missing the reason the sensors are there. It is to tell you when you have a flat; i.e. very low tire pressure. Get a good digital guage to get an accurate reading while serviceing your tires.
I just went thru this, read the manual and it says, drive >= 15 mph to get an accurate reading. I drove up the block a few houses and she re-calibrated
