2006 Victory Red Convertable, cashmere interior and top, automatic with the tip tap transmission.
I have to say, the tip tap is absolutely awsome. I test drove a SL500 Benz this summer and it had the tip tap and thought that was real nice, GM did a great job with that, I really love it.
Its pretty wierd how it all worked out, I wanted a 2005, No Bright Reds available, no convertables, no cashmere tops, the 2006 comes out with every option and color I wanted and the bonus was the tip tap Transmission.
Bought it for 5000 off sticker, Plus I had 1000 on my GM card, so I got a total of 6000.00 off sticker for a 2006. The only down fall is winter is here and wont be able to cruise until spring.
Been reading the Forum for over two years and have read some great information from you guys. Keep up the great work.
Only 1 question, someone told me they make a trickle charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter, any thoughts?
My car will be in my heated garage on a lift.
Thanks

Congratulations on your car, it sounds beautiful. I have a 2005 Mag red coupe that I had to store for a few months. I put a Battery Tender on it and it has worked out fine.

Congrats on the new car. I've not heard the A6 referred to as "Tip-Tap" That must be a foreign car term. We generally refer to it as "A6" or "paddle shift".

They called it the tip tap on the SL500.
It is really nice to drive. It really puts an end to some of those conversations of weather to own a standard or automatic, you basically get both.
Thanks
