Congrats to all of you going through the process!!! I went through it all last April.............will never forget any of it! I would never have thought that at 58 I could feel like a kid at Christmas again.........but buying the Vette and doing the NCM delivery, etc. did the trick! What a great car............enjoy it all
My VIN ends in 443. With what you say, I guess they'll finish 165 on Tue, 305 on Wed and just finish two cars behind mine by the end of my tour on Thur. With no slow downs I ought to get to start my car up as well. Cross fingers!
And Robin, I think Bub is saying that your car didn't quite get done today. It'll be the 18th car off the line tomorrow.

Oh yea! "Santa Claus is coming to town"... hopefully before Dec 25.
This is as good as the years when I got my train set, slot car track, .22 rifle, and go kart.

Mine starts down the line as well today. LMB/titanium coupe, Z51, 3LT, QG7, R8C, MN6, and UE1. Vin ends in 302. Pick up a museum on 12/16. Let the good time roll.
Personal tour this morning with Kevin was just awesome. Got to start and drive the car off the line. Came off at 10:20 am today. Toured until 11:30. Great time, & very highly recommended. More soon (pics).
Note sequence number to vin conversion is complicated by caddys included inthe sequence count now.
PS `Kevin does not like cigars. Wherever this started, it's BS.
I took the public tour today and the car at the end of the line (just before the dyno) was VIN 10025. At 140 cars per day, that should give you an idea of the time of day it will complete. Plant starts at 6:12 am. Shutdown today was around 2:15 (a bit early they said).
Mine's vin 10102, and I'm getting the "tour" with Kevin tomorrow at 8 am (he has meeting in the morning from 7 to 8).
Should be able to start it and drive it off the line.
Met another guy here with a black Z06 (non-forum member) and he's 10079, so he's a few (23 to be exact) in front of me. Said it was 4 cars down from body marriage with body marriage complete at the end of the day today.
For reference the sequence number on the 10025 car was 0630, so mine should be like 0707.
I got all balled up trying to match VIN to sequence #'s while on the public tour, so my suggest would be to know your seq # as well as your vin if trying to find on public tour and could only get this all straight once I got the data point from the end car. The seq # is the number visible from the tour line (seq is bold large print whereas it's too small print to read VIN off the build sheets). Shouldn't be an issue tomorrow with Kevin.
I too will have a hard time sleeping tonight; however, the O'Charley's steak should help that.
That's it for now. My FedEx bill at 20 cents a minute is over $2....
bub, how was the tour this morning ? did u see your vette come off the line ? I believe mine should have been done by noon.
this might be a pointless post but my new ride is going on the line tommorrow ! 06 MR A6 Coupe. Almost there !
If the xport company's on their game, and, they respond in the same (or similar) timeframe they did delivering mine to the dealership?
You should see your new car in about 2 weeks, +/- a day or 2.

Reason: spelling error...
Any time of the year is a great time to get a Corvette. However, be sure to check the car over carefully when it comes in. With a Nov 29 build date, you have to consider: the folks in the plant just got back from Thanksgiving, which we all know is the second most stressful time of the year (waiting to learn what sex and color Michael Jackson will be next year is #1); the men and women on the line are thinking about what to get their sweeties for Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza, and how to keep their husbands and wives from finding out what they got for their sweeties. Enjoy the ride, and be careful out there.
You are scaring the s... out of me. My build date is week of 12/12.
How can the factory put together a car like this is just 24 hours? Even with decades of assembly-line experience, the thought amazes me. My build date (C6 coupe) is 12/5, by the way. I hope the production guys have a great weekend. I would love to have done a museum delivery but I wouldn't want to drive a new car all the way back to Colorado, even if I had the time.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
