Has anyone experienced this?
When on the phone with On Star, or any phone call for that matter, there is a radio station playing at a much lower level in the background...Seems like crossed wires or a short….am I the first? If not, whats the fix? On Star has already remotly updated the software for me to see if that was the problem, so I dont think that it is a fix from their side...
What you might be experiancing is a strong signal from a nearby transmitter, usually AM. The signal is very strong and "steps on" your reception. You could try a filter of some kind, but I don't know if it would help for sure. Many people living around these transmitter sites will pick up the station in their phone company drop wire that goes to your house. Especially the more perpindicular the wire is to the signal.

I recently tried On Star in a different geographic location and did not have the problem which, for now, leads me to believe that it was just localized interference...I will continue to monitor...thanks
