Just returned from Las Vegas and The Wynn Hotel and Casino. Cool joint truth be known. The Wynn/Penske Ferrari Maserati Dealership was just off the casino proper and wanted a $10 cover charge to walk the sales floor. Dave and Rick, eat your heart out. Keeps the riff raff out. Like me. But, the one Ferrari car I could see through the front door was alluringly turning on an extra large turntable. It was surely all dressed up in LeMans Blue. Hey GuitarStar, LMB rocks the LV Strip dude. Told the dealer's doorman he could come look at my triple black C1 and Monty C6 cv for free if he was ever in Tucson, but he was unmoved by my generosity. Pay for view only. So if you are in Las Vegas and you wanna see the big dollar Italian iron, take a sawbuck to spare, you'll need it. Or just give them your best knowing C6 smile and move on. Maserati's are dog sled slow and Ferrari's spend most of their days on a service lift. Speaking of lifts, check out the elevator's floor buttons at The Wynn. Ya'll ain't gonna believe this. They go up to 39 then skip to 50. There are no floors numbered 4*. Apparently, some off shore visitors find 40 to be bad luck so the hotel didn't number any of the floors with 40 to 49. Personally, I didn't find my 40's to be all that bad. Gotta admit, the jury is still out on 50 and above though.
Heres the facts.
1. WYNN is losing money hand over fist.
2. They need to raise cash to pay back their investors.
3. Ripping off the public is an art form which takes many forms.
If your stupid enough to pay to look at a car?
YOU deserve to be nickled & dimed.
SAD BUT TRUE.
I know none of the forum members here would ever be lured in.. Right??
