Hi All,
The C6 CD changer is available now with those of you with the NAV system. I have spoken to those at GM Technical Assistance and they tell me it does play MP3 CD's. They also mentioned to me that it states that in the vehicle owners manual. Currently they also state in fits 2005 models with VIN# breaking point 115217 and up and all 2006 models. I asked why the earlier VIN's didn't work with this and he said they have no notations of it not working with the earlier VIN's. All I can say is that I'll offer to sell it to someone with an earlier VIN with an agreement that if it doesn't work I will take it back. We need someone to step up to the plate for this. While I take responsibility, I can only tell you that they tell me MP3 CD's work with this, but I cannot guarantee it until it is confirmed by someone who installs it.
I am doing a Christmas special of 489.99 + 18.50 shipping. I have created a direct link for you all to order it from our website. The site will show more shipping than what I have quoted and all orders will be adjusted when processed to 18.50. This is all of the information that I have. Here is the link for the coupe model. If you'd like the Convertible just select it as an option from the pull down menu.

Trying to figure this one out. Does the changer come with a cable that runs to the head unit and must be installed? Are later VIN cars already equipped with a cable that early VIN cars don't have? I am getting a remanufactured NAV unit installed later this week....how will I know if my new unit will work with the changer?
I just called my local dealer the other day to see how much the unit cost. He quoted me $640. Like your price much better and plan on ordering once I find out today how much my dealer charges to install. Just wondering how many hours should the installation cost so I can gauge the cost figures to install locally?

I had one put in today in my 05 Vert and the changer works fine but I can not get it to play mp3s. I do not get invalid disc.....it acts as if it is reading the disc and the elapsed time is moving but no sound for mp3..........damn

Hi, What's your VIN's number and do you have a U3U or URB, found on the left side of the glove box door (sorry if you already knew that, I'm new). I have an 05 102704 which is before the VIN break, is listed as U3U and doesn't understand MP3 disks.
Hi All,
I fixed the link on the site for coupe and convertible ordering. As far as a harness, it states in the catalog that it comes with a harness, so I'm going to assume at this point that you need to run it, although it may be a small harness to connect to another connector.
I have sold a few of these already so it should only be a couple of days until we find out what the whole deal is.

And the questions continue .............. Perhaps Gene we could extend the special price a few weeks until we know for sure if the changer plays MP3s or not. I would give a $ 100.00 deposit to hold price until we have confirmation if it plays MP3's. If it doesn't, then I have no need for it.

My dealer has them and says it works off the Aux button on the screen. I saw the wiring diagram and all the parts. It mounts in the rear drivers side storage compartment, but does not come with enough wire. Dealer is getting more info. My question for Gene is do you control the changer off your regular CD ontrols on the screen, i.e. skip disc, next disc and so on? Thanks...

Changer works off the nav screen, just like the picture shows. What AUX button, where is that?

That's info from the parts guy at my local dealer. He may be referring to an Aux circuit in the wiring, but was not clear. I really don't care if it works. Not to concerned about mp3, just CD's I create. Now I really wish it was spring. Thanks again.
