Default Chrome wheels

I was in a store today which had chrome wheels for the C6. The sticker on the inside of the wheel said: Made in China. The wheels look like the WCC chromes, but they isn't.

My chrome wheels purchased from Corvettes of Houston were made in China, but the quality is far superior to the polished wheels which I paid $1295.00 for from GM.

does chrome make it go faster? handle better? avoid radar and laser speed traps? require less maintainence? signify to onlookers that "this is a Real sports car"?

sounds to me like a little jealousy? well if you ask that question how about painted wheels does it make it go faster? handle better? avoid all those other little things you also mentioned. After all you ordered the painted wheels with your victory red coupe.

there was a time when "Mag Wheels" referred to Magnesium composition. this reduced unspring weight, which aided handling.
I did not purchased an American made sports car so I could put "made in China" junk on it.

They are exchange wheels from what I read. They are chromed OEM wheels. Then you send them your stock wheels and the next guy gets those chromed. That's how the exchange works.
