I was looking at tires at the tirerack.com and was surprised to find that if you select tires for a 2005 C6, it gives you two choices, the Continental ContiSportContact 2 and the Pirelli PZero System Asimmetrico.
However, if you type in your tire size as 245 40 18, you get 76 possible tire sizes. I see that many of them are rated YR, but not all. For instance the Michelin Pilot Sport is a ZR, but is not mentioned when the vehicle is selected.
What gives? You would think that at least the Goodyear F1s are listed for a C6.
Switch to DiscountTire.com. I've purchased from TireRack for years. They have the F1 tires at $75/each front cheaper and $100/each rear. That's $350 savings over tirerack.
You must be doing something wrong on tirerack.com. For about a year it has shown me the prices for both standard and supercar Eagle F1s as Original Equipment for the 2005 C6. You can also select other tires, but the OE tires show only the Goodyears--I just checked.
