Default C6 vs C5 again

Been driving the C6 quite a bit and I have been neglecting the C5. Guys driving the C5 was like driving my wife's Camry. Just ain't no comparison as far as power. The C6 feels like you are driving something with power. The C5 feels like a sedan anymore. I am sure the folks over in C5 would disagree but what can I say....... the truth

Oh I know....

This Thread did not go like I intended it too. My apologies to everyone who read this thread. May the Mods bury it deeply. I will post here what I stated to Mr. Lucky in POST #9

Please let me assure you that was never my intent. I own 3 Corvettes and plan on more. Each generation of Corvette is an awesome vehicle. That is why it has been around so long and has such a loyal following. The C5 is a great car and I will be the first to say so. The C6 has the edge on technology though just like the C5 over the C4 on down the line. I had merely remarked to my wife as we were driving the C5 if she had noticed the difference between the two cars. She had noticed it too. I thought I would share it with the forum. No disrespect was intended. With all that said;

Merry Christmas to the Corvette Brotherhood

Oh and JSchindler attacks are not needed and I am quite comfortable with the size of my reproductive organs so you don't need to worry about mine. Thank you for your concern though.

I know what you are talking about, but the biggest improvements in the C6 over the C5 are in other areas IMO.

That all depends on the model of C5.

The C5 was a great ride but the C6 is a lot cooler looking...

It's comforting to know my C6 has all the little annoying rattles and goofy electrical glitches my C5 had.

There is a world of difference between the C5 and C6.

I switched from an 01 C5 to a 05 C6 Z51 in September. There is no comparison while driving. Handles better, more power, more solid, better interior and the improvement is lighting is amazing.
That said, I miss the looks of the C5. Whether it is illusion or not the C6 seems too tall and not wide enough. I like the fenders on the C5 much better and I felt like I was sitting lower because of the humps.
I want the C5 body on the C6 chassis please.

Aha, a C5 Z06 man comes out. Okay no Camry comparison for you unless......... someone chimes in with a C6 Z06. I can't compare either of those as I have never driven either one.

Merry Christmas

I loved my C5 and love my C6 even more. I didn't realize how significantly improved the C6 really is until I test drove a C5 recently for a friend looking to buy. The C5 really felt slow, unrefined and not glued to the road like the C6. I was surprised I would feel that way. The C6 is just superior in every way.

I don't inderstand the purpose of threads like this. All it does is pit owners of one generation against another. With all the people out there trying to legislate against high-performance vehicles, we need to be united, not divided.

Besides... they are all Corvettes, so life is good. Enjoy!

Au contraire, Mr. Lucky: if it hadn't been for discussions like this, I might never have moved off the dime and traded my 04 C5 for a C6!
