After you delete the cags from 1st to 4th shift sequence at the trans is there a way to delete [stop the text from showing] it off the DIC? Anyone done that yet? or have the info....thnx: Santa [my MN6 sleigh is killing my delivery pattern].....ho! ho!

You cannot just "disconnect" the CAGS. You have to also install the CAGS eliminator which is a P.E.D. connecter and resistor. This will fool the PCM into thinking the CAGS solenoid is still connected.
However, you will still get the 1-4 shift indicator on the cluster.

I understand that the tuning programs can do just that, but I don't have/know the specifics.
If you want to defeat the 1 to 4 light, and if you are reasonably skilled with wiring and wiring diagrams, it is possible. But it's a pain, and not worth doing unless the 1 to 4 light seriously annoys you. You must go to the wiring bundle around the engine computer, identify the correct wire, cut it, and then wire a resistor into the gap. If you just cut it without wiring in the resistor, the computer will sense the break, and set the check engine warning light. The resistor blocks enough of the current to prevent the bulb from lighting up, but allows enough current to flow so that the computer thinks it is there. Incidentally, this is exactly what the CAGS eliminators do on the actual skip shift mechanism. The reason there's not a ready made "1 to 4, light eliminator" is that there's no exposed connector to hook it in, as there is with the harness at the transmission.

I believe you're referring to the 1>4 shift light that appears on the instrument panel.....there is no separate DIC message. So far, no one has come up with a way of cancelling that light (presuming you've installed a CAGS eliminator), but fact of the matter is that without the shift interference, I never notice the light.
