Just decided to clean up the C6 and put it away until after the holidays. Traffic is pretty risky and don't want to take any chances. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the CF members. You're a great bunch of folks.
Sorry I just can't imagine not driving my car just because something bad might possibly happen. Every so often when the wife and I are going to be parking downtown for a show or whatever I consider taking her car. But I never do and have yet to have a problem. How bad will you feel if your car is snug in bed in your garage while you are out in your 2nd car only to have a house fire. Bad things can happen anywhere, drive it!
A little word of advice for those who are infatuated/ are in love with their Corvettes.
Drive the shizznit out of them while you still have those butterfly feelings in your stomach. Don't worry about pampering it.
Soon enough (after owning it for awhile) those feelings will eventually go away, and then while you will still like your car just fine, you won't be having a love affair with it.
You should drive your car as much as you can as long as you have those special feelings for it.
Don't drive your car like you own it, drive it like you stole it!
If I lived in NC or some place "warm" I'd definately drive this time of year. I don't think the 2" of ice on my driveway would make having something happen a possibility - more like a definate. If I could get it backed out and headed down the driveway, I'd never be able to stop at the end of the hill and I'd end up in the woods across the way.
OH, well spring will be here in a little over 3 months.

And here I thought I had problems.....
I've been driving my Vette the last couple of days because it was a little chilly to ride one of my motorcycles.
A Honda Accord is only a car, a Toyota Camry is only a car, this is a CORVETTE!
Should it be worshipped/pampered/kept locked away? No it shouldn't. But then again please don't try and sell me on the idea that any of those high dollar exotics some seem to worship so blatantly should be treated any differently either...if Corvette is only a car then so is a Ferrari or Aston Martin IMO.

What??? Another NC boy putting the car away for winter??? Sorry, I am worried you might give the rest of us a bad name...
I have a problem with those "butterflies"..........I have had my C6 for 14 months and have only driven it 700 miles!
I get nervous just sitting in it in the garage reving it up!
I think I have some kind of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder about this car. I don't want it to get dirty............I have driven it to car shows this past summer, but that is all. Got any good shrinks you could recommend?
I had a white '98 that I sold to buy this one and I put 6,000 miles on it in 3 years......................
