You are not nuts . It happens to me all the time. Never in my other cars. Usually "rice and bean" cars and especially SUV's.

 

I notice that whenever I am behind somebody that is driving "too" slow and I move over to the fast lane they speed up. This seems to happen no matter what the other person is driving. I find it very amusing.

 

Happens all the time. I've had all the same experiences. People cruising in my right blind spot, getting excited at the site of a C6 and acting like Mario. When the little pimple faced kid next to me wants to race, I just smile and think, "it's good to be king". Poor kid doesn't know what he's messing with. Just the other day, trying to go for coffee with my daughter, and this knucklehead in a Maserati pulls up next to us with a glare. Then, in traffic, bolts away expecting me to chase him. My daughter asks if his car is faster. I say no but he did pay 3 times as much as I, and has higher maintenance costs. Then after parking my C6 I see the Maserati cruising the parking lot, looking for me. Ah the Corvette mystique.

 

I've had some not so warm and fuzzy encounters with other C6 drivers. Coming home from work one night I was first at the light and got a good leap on everyone at green. I like to get up to speed quickly
and move over to the right lane if possible because although we have fast cars I understand that someone might want to go faster. This stretch merges from 3 lanes down to 1. In the mirror I see headlights darting and weaving in and out. It's a 6. Driver zooms up to my left and hits the brake to pace me. No friendly wave BTW. Now
my lane is merging soon. This guy wouldn't speed up or slow down to allow me in. I kicked off the cruise and braked to get in right behind him. Then he speeds off. Also, I get a wave from 1 out of 10. DATAWIZ is the last one to wave at me and that was months ago. Thanks buddy!

 

I've had the same experiences. A wipe in a Ford Escort wagon (possibly the slowest car on the face of the Earth...besides a VW Rabbit diesel) pulling right on my bumper at a red light. I look back in the rearview and he pulls up closer again. I pull forward and the game continues. I understand the short rear end but this guy and his old lady were in to it together. A few waves of my fist and finger solved it but it was quite annoying.

I can't stand Mustang GT's or any ricers. Do they read ANY forums??

 

Most just dream of our car! Then they try to do something stupid to get our attention!
