I just tried an MP3 disk in our new 05 C6. It played just fine, does anyone know if this means that I do not need the update disk?

Did anyone who had theirs upgraded lose their saved memory points? Thanks.

Memory points are home are still there but previous destinations are gone. All the presets on the radio are still there.

You must have a very late VIN 05. I believe the later models received the same nav unit as the 2006's. As long as you do not have the static problem I would not worry about it.

So do you have to have this Tech II scanner to do the upgrade or not???

I didn't have a Tech II. But I like to take risks.

Right Click Link, Select "Save Target As..."
~10MB Download

Unzip archive
Write the 2 ISO images to 2 CDs
Follow instructions in the text file

~10MB Download, Individual Files Version

Write the contents of each folder to a CD (2), drill down into the folder and just write the files.

If you don't know how to write ISO images to CD, search google.com. You will need a program that can convert and write an ISO image to CD.

Performed upgrade on VIN 101586 (Sept. 2004). See picture below.
