There are two 2005 Corvettes currently listed on ebay with RPO WD1, same seller.
vin: 309, build: 7/21/04
vin: 764, build: 8/16/04
WD1=pilot vehicle.
Anyone else have a pilot car?
Any differences noticed from non-pilot cars?

Reason: clarification of title
Thats a good question........I do not know what a Pilot vehicle is. 45 people have read this too. At first I thought you were buying a Honda Pilot. They are a nice riding SUV.
A saleable pilot is final build verification. The verification is manufacturing and assembly plant related not product. By definition these are not hand builds as described in previous post, that would defeat the purpose of a pilot build.,
A non saleable pilot is the same as above but with out production capable process's.
Pilot build is nothing special other than a slow manufacturing line speed.
i have #151. i was told pilots have no vin# and are not sold to the public. they are destroyed after testing.
Some pilot vehicles are saleable vehicles, and therefore have a valid VIN. The brand team makes the call. Pilot vehicles go through a close inspection and may require some rework or retrofitting prior to release to commerce.
Some pre-production cars do not have a valid VIN and/or may not be certified, and can not be sold.
