Silver Tape on Bottom
Was checking out the underside of my '06 yesterday and noticed four pieces of aluminum foil backed butyl rubber patches (to left, two right)on the underside of the floor boards. They are plugging holes in the the floor board "sandwich". One of the patches was hanging loose (probably not affixed properly at the factory or scraped in shipping) which would have allowed water from the road to splash up and get into the balsa wood core of the floor board sandwich when and if you were driving in the raind. Anybody know why these holes are there (were not in C-5s)? - - and you may want to check out yours and make sure they are in tact and are properly sealing the holes in the floor boards.

I noticed these yesterday on mine, but didn't look at them closely enough to determine function.
They appeared to be stuck in place well.
Will look closer tonight with it up on the Stinger lift.

I do not know for certain, but the space frame on the C6 is a steel structure. The frame my be dipped into an E.L.P.O. tank for corrosion resistance and the "holes" may allow the excess liquid to drain. Just a guess.
