has anyone installed them the door guards how are they worth getting or not

there stainless stil plates the attach to ur door so u wont get shoe prints on them

No--I don't think he is talking about the alum. sill protectors--he's talking about the alum door guards. I personally don't like the look of them. I would rather use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to remove the occasional scuff mark than have these on my doors.

Another alternative to remove those pesky scuffs is the Interior Cleaner from Griot's Garage.Bottom line is they are not that hard to remove with several reliable products available.

Should you peel off the oem decals before installing the new alum. units? how do the optional sills attach?

Yep, they're cheap, readily available in the grocery store detergent aisle, and they do an excellent job with little effort.

Yes, yes, yes you peel the OEM's off and then install the new alum. units. the surface to receive the new unit should be clean and flat of all debris and old glue before applying the new units.
