Default Coldest Oil Temp Readout

It doesn't get very cold here. The lowest reading I've seen is 72, but it must go lower.
Does anyone know the lower limit of the oil temp readout?

The C5s had a bug when it was very cold: the DIC would read "OIL TEMP LOW", and you had to get it warmer, then restart the car to clear that message.

I haven't seen that message on the C6. I think I've seen the oil temp in the 20s. I don't know the lower limit, though.

That oil temperature bug really bothers me with my C5, because I drive my car daily and it's parked outside overnight most of the time too. So for most of the winter, I never find out my oil temperature on my drive to work. I find I need to shut off the engine and wait at least two minutes and then restart, otherwise it'll still say "oil temp low" I've tried shutting it off at a red light and then restarting it when it turns green but the engine is never shut down long enough.

I've found the lowest my oil temperature will read is -9C. Hopefully they fixed this on the C6.

Thanks for the replies.
I figured it must go lower, but it just hasn't been very cold here to see.

The coldest I've recorded is 59 in my unheated garage when the outside temp was in the 20's, last year.

I'll let you know in my new heated garage when the temps drop, probably won't go below 72.

I've had 32º as the lowest so far. After warming up for just a few minutes, It gets up to the 50's and up then I'm on my way.
